Fitness coach | Women’s Greek National Football Team

Vangelis Koutsogiannis is a fitness coach with a postgraduate degree in Sports Psychology and many years of experience in professional football.

In recent years, he has been a member of the coaching staff of the National Football Teams, contributing to the specialized preparation of athletes at a high level.

He is a former professional footballer, a background that gives him a deep understanding of the needs and demands of the athlete.

He has worked with top clubs such as Olympiacos and AEK, providing specialized conditioning programs aimed at improving physical performance. At Aspropyrgos, he played a decisive role in winning the championship and helping the team gain promotion to Super League 2.

He has also worked with teams such as Chania (Super League 2) and Apollon Athens, taking responsibility for the design of comprehensive training programs.

He specializes in physical conditioning, strength development, injury prevention, and performance optimization. He combines academic knowledge with practical experience in demanding professional environments.

He is distinguished by his professionalism, organization, and ability to adapt to the needs of each team and athlete.

With a constant desire for development, he aims to maximize athletes’ performance and help build competitive and successful teams.


Workshop on the second day: Injuries in women’s football: myths and reality. Training loads, prevention (ACL), and performance maximization in women’s football.

There will be an extensive presentation on physical conditioning and injury prevention in women’s football. Answers will be provided to questions such as:

  • Which parameters should we focus on when designing a physical conditioning training plan for women’s football teams?
  • Do women suffer injuries more frequently compared to men?
  • What should injury prevention programs primarily target?
