Various factors, including current fitness level, playing position, injury history and age, will significantly affect decision making. With a clear goal, to bring each player one step closer to their “genetic ceiling”, but at the same time stay healthy and fresh to compete, in a situation where each individual is very unique with different abilities and needs, coaches tend to minimize training errors.
The lecture is intended for football and fitness coaches who work with professional football players on a daily basis, as well as for everyone who wants to learn more about the training process in football. The author highlights the problems that arise during the in-season work and offers new ideas and potential solutions. Through general and specific principles, the lecture offers practical solutions that include individualization of the training process, load monitoring, and integral approach, but also points out current trends in the world of high performance in football.
