Workshop (second day): Ανάλυση απόδοσης τερματοφύλακα

The presentation outlines a comprehensive goalkeeper analysis process covering all phases: pre-game, live, and post-game, with the aim of transforming observation into practical information directly linked to the training process.

In the pre-game phase, the upcoming opponent is analysed to support mental preparation and connect analysis with training. The focus is on high pressing situations, attacking actions (chance creation and finishing), as well as the analysis of the opposition goalkeeper, both during open play and set plays.

During the match (live analysis), real-time evaluation of the goalkeeper’s, team’s, and opponent’s behaviour is carried out, with the aim of immediate understanding and guidance when required. The analysis is structured around key areas such as the goalkeeper’s involvement in the team’s attacking phase (build-up), the goalkeeper’s behaviour in threat situations (opponent chance creation and shots), and the tracking of actions through data related to the goalkeeper’s ball contacts, both in open play and set plays.

In the post-game phase, the analysis continues from the live process. Data is transformed into visual information and, through short and targeted video clips, a deeper understanding of the overall performance of both the goalkeeper and the team is achieved. This is followed by discussion with the coaching staff and the goalkeeper, aiming to transfer insights into the training process.

The main objective of this approach is to improve the individual performance of the goalkeeper, strengthen their connection with the team, and enhance overall game behaviour, leading to more positive results.
