Besides his reputation In arthroscopic and sports injuries surgery he is considered as the pioneer of orthopaedic regenerative surgery in Greece. He was awarded in Greece by Boussias Healthcare Business Awards 2021 for innovation in surgical techniques with his stem cells techniques for joints arthritis. He is practicing orthopaedic regenerative medicine from 2015 with many orthobiological procedures like PRP, adipose stem cells after mini belly or knee liposuction, that he performs himself, bone marrow stem cells and intraarticular injections in knee, shoulder, hips, ankles for arthritis, muscle, tendons and ligaments injuries, under ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance. He is currently using auricular cartilage autologous micrografts for joints arthritis K-L 3 and early 4 according to the Regenera Activa technique

" New surgical techniques for anterior cruciate ligaments   rupture in football"

One of the most severe injuries with the longest lay off from football is an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture. The risk of ACL injury was highest early in the game with 47% sustained during the first 30 min and 24% in the first 15 mins; 15% of the male and 21% of the female ACL injuries occurred in teams with a coach change during the season; 40% of the players reported that they did not plan on returning to football; ACL rupture reconstruction is the gold standard of the surgical care. New techniques and materials have now been implemented in a surgeon’s practice. For the first time repair techniques without grafts seem promising. Prevention is always extremely important with neuro-muscular training programs.
