Pavlos Dermitzakis

Coach UEFA PRO - IRAKLIS FC

Pavlos Dermitzakis is a football coach with a distinguished career both as a manager and as a former professional player. During his playing career, some of the most notable milestones were his time with Kavala FC (1987–1992) and PAOK FC (1992–1995). He concluded his professional playing career in 2000 at Atromitos FC, having scored over 100 professional goals.

His coaching journey began in the 2001–2002 season with Ergotelis at the age of 32. He then took charge of Atsalenios FC (2002–2007), achieving significant success and leaving a lasting legacy at the club. He continued with Diagoras Rhodes (2007–2009) before stepping up to the Greek Super League with Panthrakikos in the second half of the 2009–2010 season.

In the summer of 2010, he accepted the biggest challenge of his career by taking over PAOK FC. Although his tenure was brief, he made history by leading the team to a remarkable victory over Fenerbahçe in Turkey. In 2011, he managed Asteras Tripolis and returned to Panthrakikos in 2012. His career brought him back to Crete in 2013 with OFI, and in 2014, he returned to Ergotelis for a second spell. In 2015, he joined PAS Lamia, finishing the season at Ermis Aradippou.

Between 2018 and 2020, he managed AO Kavala, and from 2020 to 2022, he led Veria FC, winning the Super League 2 title. In 2023, he once again won the championship, this time with Panserraikos, and during the 2023–2024 season, he was the head coach of AEL FC. As of the 2024–2025 season, he has taken over as the head coach of PAE POT Iraklis, a position he holds to this day.
